Job Details

• COVID VACCINATION (dose date on or after 10/3/23) NOW REQUIRED FOR THIS HEALTH SYSTEM.
• The Flow Cytometry Technologist is responsible for performing analytical cytometry examinations, quality control, instrument maintenance, testing validations, and other functions, while implementing the hospital and laboratory missions, goals and objectives.
• Requested time off during the course of this assignment MUST be noted and verified at upload.
• NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED (less is better).

Job Requirements

• 3 years current experience in approved laboratory
• Bachelor degree in Medical Technology or related science required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• MUST have ability and education to perform high-complexity laboratory testing
• Traveler candidate must have their own vehicle.

Unit Specific Information

• Independent judgment and initiative required to schedule, organize, and plan work.
• Teach medical technology students how to process specimens and answer computer related questions.
• Responsible for care and accuracy in collection and labeling specimens.
• Flexibility and adaptability in emergency situations including working additional hours or shifts.
• Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and alertly for extended periods of time and under stress, to ensure against errors.
• Above average manual dexterity.
• Effective communication skills, use of computer systems, listening, speaking, writing, and reading.
• Knowledge of HIS and LIS.
