Job Summary :
We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious
Off-Road Truck or End Dump Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will primarily operate off-road trucks or end dump trucks to transport materials at construction sites. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to operate various types of equipment and perform general laborer tasks as needed, contributing to the overall success of the project. The ideal candidate is adaptable, willing to learn, and capable of performing a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Safely operate off-road trucks or end dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, rock, sand, and dirt across rugged terrain and work sites.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is in good working order, reporting any mechanical issues.
- Safely load and unload materials at various locations as directed.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including load logs, trip reports, and any other necessary paperwork.
- Follow all safety regulations, operational procedures, and site-specific guidelines while working.
- Operate additional equipment (e.g., skid steer, loader, backhoe, bulldozer, etc.) as needed for various tasks around the job site.
- Assist with general labor tasks, such as material handling, site preparation, clearing debris, and assisting other operators and workers.
- Assist with minor maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleaning of equipment when required.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and co-workers to ensure efficient operations and resolve any on-site issues.
- Ensure the truck and equipment's load capacity is properly maintained and that loads are balanced for safe transport.
- Actively contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- You may perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the site and project.
Requirements
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience operating off-road trucks or end dump trucks.
- Experience operating additional construction equipment such as loaders, and rollers preferred.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment safety protocols and standard operational procedures.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and carrying heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and address equipment issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow directions clearly.
- Willingness to work in outdoor environments with exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and performing minor repairs on equipment is a plus.
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating trucks and machinery.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs or more as required.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and dust.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform general labor tasks as necessary.
Working Conditions :
- The role is primarily outdoor work, with exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- The job requires the ability to lift and carry heavy objects, as well as perform physically demanding tasks such as digging and moving materials.
- There will be exposure to construction site hazards such as dust, loud machinery, and heavy equipment.
- Extended hours, evening, and weekend work may be required depending on project deadlines.
