Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Performance Manager to oversee the performance and operational effectiveness of our portfolio assets. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvements in energy yields, safety, and long-term reliability. You will collaborate closely with contractors, contribute to operational strategies, and ensure that industry best practices are applied throughout asset management processes.

Key Responsibilities :

• Performance Improvement : Measure and drive performance improvements across the portfolio, aiming to increase energy yields, enhance safety, and ensure long-term reliability and resilience of assets.
• Contractor Collaboration : Work with contractors to define the scope of work for major repairs, particularly for repowering or reconfiguring damaged assets. Contribute to strategy and procurement efforts to secure materials and labor efficiently.
• Risk Management : Identify and mitigate operational risks, including equipment failures and performance underachievement. Conduct regular risk assessments and recommend predictive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.
• Reporting & Communication : Collect and review maintenance reports from O&M contractors. Discuss performance, KPIs, and events impacting asset performance with contractors and relevant teams. Participate in meetings with the global Operations HQ for technical alignment.
• Production Forecasting : Provide guidance on adjusting production forecasts by reviewing historical data, weather conditions, equipment availability, and operational limitations. Ensure forecast changes are communicated clearly to stakeholders for financial and performance analysis.
• Best Practices Adoption : Stay up-to-date with industry trends, innovations, and best practices in solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) operations. Attend conferences and workshops to integrate new technologies and methods into asset optimization.
• Leadership & Coaching : Lead and coach O&M contractors, subcontractors, and technicians. Promote the company’s culture and values, fostering a motivated and educated workforce. Create a team-oriented environment for continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Relations : Maintain professionalism in all interactions with contractor personnel, landowners, financing entities, local authorities, and other external stakeholders. Negotiate claims and disputes to resolve issues amicably.

Education & Certifications :

• In-depth knowledge of EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) regulations.
• Degree or certifications in renewable energy or environmental disciplines.

Experience :

• At least 5 years of experience in photovoltaic, wind, or battery technology.
• Strong understanding of typical performance issues in utility-scale solar and battery projects.
• Experience in managing vendors and contractors, including RFPs, commercial negotiations, and dispute resolution.

Technical Skills :

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems, monitoring software, and data analysis tools used in solar/battery projects.
• Strong understanding of relevant code regulations and standards in the renewable energy sector.
• Good negotiation skills in commercial, technical, and operating contractual terms.

Travel & Adaptability :

• Ability to travel nationally (typically 25-50%) with flexibility for additional travel as needed for major performance issues.
• Ability to adapt to various environments and handle challenges during remote supervision.
