Immediately hiring an Overhead Crane Operator for a large metal manufacturing/distribution plant on the northeast side of San Antonio.

Pay is $18/hr.

Secon shift 1:45pm (8-10 hr. shift)

Duties:

• Operates overhead crane to move large material throughout manufacturing shop
• Will assist metal manufacturing production when not operating overhead crane
• Prepares material and line in accordance with specifications
• Verify, weigh, bind, and tag unit
• Discharge material from the line and place it on the corresponding skid
• Ensures all products meet customer specifications
• Thread the line, verify material dimensions, and adjust speed and tension to produce a quality product
• Cut, shape, and assemble metal components according to required dimensions and tolerances
• Inspect parts for defects and ensure the quality and precision of finished products

Requirements:

• Seeking at least 1 yr. of Overhead Crane operating experience
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to use measuring tape
• Must be able to follow instructions and schematics
• Machine/production experience required
• Prior metals experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take direction
• Repetitive movement while operating machines, standing the entire shift, bending, stooping
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Physical stamina to lift and move heavy materials and stand for extended periods
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
