Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager – Multi-Site

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and manage the EHS function across three (3) production plants in Tennessee and Kentucky. The primary focus will be on our largest plant located in Nashville, TN. This role will play a critical part in enhancing safety culture, improving environmental compliance, and driving safety initiatives across all sites. The EHS Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations and supervise one (1) EHS Generalist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage EHS programs and compliance with a focus on 80% safety health and 20% environmental regulations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements across multiple sites.
• Provide strategic leadership to improve safety engagement, ergonomics, machine guarding, and overall safety culture.
• Partner with corporate EHS teams to implement and roll out corporate safety programs and initiatives.
• Work closely with plant leadership and employees to create an environment of safety awareness and continuous improvement.
• Develop and execute strategies to enhance employee engagement in safety practices.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, training, and incident investigations to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage and mentor the EHS Generalist, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
• Lead initiatives to reduce workplace hazards, enhance ergonomics, and improve machine guarding measures.
• Act as a liaison with executive leadership, effectively communicating EHS strategies, compliance updates, and performance metrics.

Qualifications Experience:

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of industrial safety and environmental experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in managing direct reports and leading EHS teams.
• Strong working knowledge of environmental compliance regulations.
• Ability to drive cultural change, engage employees, and foster a proactive safety mindset.
• Comfortable working hands-on in a plant environment and leading by example.
• Strong mentoring, coaching, and leadership skills with the ability to unify and empower employees.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively engage with both plant and executive leadership.
• Assertive, proactive, and results-driven mindset with the ability to manage responsibilities at multiple levels.
