If you have deep expertise in cardiovascular, renal, or immunology biology and small molecule expertise, apply or reach out directly! Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee the biology research team, responsible for developing and executing preclinical and clinical programs in cardiovascular, renal, or immunology therapeutic areas. Develop and execute the biological research strategy, including target discovery, validation, and mechanism of action studies for novel therapeutics. Provide scientific leadership in the design and implementation of in vitro and in vivo studies to support drug discovery and development. Collaborate cross-functionally with translational medicine, clinical, regulatory, and other teams to ensure seamless transition from preclinical development to clinical trials. Identify and develop biomarkers for patient stratification, disease monitoring, and therapeutic efficacy in relevant disease areas. Guide the discovery and development of biologics (e.g., antibodies, gene therapies, cell therapies) aimed at addressing unmet needs in cardiovascular, renal, or immunology diseases. Stay at the forefront of emerging trends, technologies, and scientific advancements in the biological sciences and integrate these into the company’s development programs. Provide mentoring, coaching, and leadership to a team of biologists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance. Ensure research programs are aligned with corporate objectives, and communicate progress, challenges, and results effectively to senior leadership and stakeholders. Lead interactions with external collaborators, academic partners, and CROs to advance the pipeline and research capabilities. Qualifications Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or a related field. 8+ years of industry experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, with a strong focus on cardiovascular, renal, or immunology biology. At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role, overseeing drug discovery or preclinical development programs. Deep expertise in the biology of cardiovascular, renal, or immunology diseases, with a proven track record of advancing therapeutics from discovery through preclinical stages. In-depth knowledge of cellular and molecular biology techniques, including gene editing, CRISPR, protein analysis, and in vivo animal models. Experience in small molecules. Strong track record of successful collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including translational, clinical, regulatory, and external partners.
