Position Summary
This position will be located in Anderson County, SC. The Warehouse Manager oversees operations at a warehouse or storage facility to ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to schedule. Direct shipments and resolve logistical challenges by communicating with clients, transportation providers, manufacturers and suppliers.
Position Responsibilities- Essential
* Strategize inventory volumes and warehouse capacity to maximize productivity.
* Lead and manage on-time deliveries, inventory control, supply / demand forecasting, warehousing, shipping and transportation.
* Develop analytics, systems and data management capabilities
* Direct the hiring, training, supervision, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
* Understand customers' needs, service those needs, and maintain and develop positive business relationships with a customer's key personnel involved in or directly relevant to supply chain activities
* Contract with and manage suppliers/providers such as freight forwarders, 3rd party logistics or sequencing companies and parts manufacturers
* Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
* Establish key performance indicators/metrics, supplier evaluation criteria, develop methods of analysis and reports, monitor ongoing performance,
* Manage vendor performance and relationships (e.g., third party logistics)
* Collaborate with staff, other departments, central group functions in other locations, senior management, and decision makers to share information, support strategic sourcing, problem solve, and to clarify management objectives
* Develop and / or participate in the development of the supply chain strategy for the organization
* Implement effective change management procedures
* Monitor and analyze current trends in the marketplace
* Direct and manage regulatory compliance
* Identify, assess, manage and mitigate risk within the supply chain
* Stay informed of advances in supply chain technology or methods, and apply within the organization to improve supply chain processes
* Conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality
* Ensure suppliers are aware of business objectives
* Prepare annual budget of Logistics department
* Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work of clerical subordinates as needed
* Carry out functions described in policies and work procedures or assigned by supervisor

Essential Skills and Experience
* Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university in supply chain management or a related field such as logistics, transportation, procurement or business administration
* Minimum 2 years as a Logistics Manager in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry or 6 years of relevant national & international work experience
* MS Office
* Mathematical skills to effectively apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions
* Knowledge of int. business / customs and trade practices
* Basic knowledge in management systems like IATF 16949 and ISO 9001, human resources and accounting
* Basic knowledge of computer hardware and associated software (i.e. database reporting, user interface and query, electronic data interchange such as EDI, RFID, barcode technology, etc., ERP systems and transportation route planning)
* Communication devices

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
