The client is looking to bring on an in-house User Experience/User Interface (UX/UI) Designer to support internal initiatives while seamlessly collaborating with external partners. The UX/UI Designer will play a key role in user research, testing, and iterative design to create AI-driven features that address complex challenges within a regulated environment. The role requires a strong understanding of design principles, user-centered methodologies, and agile development practices to ensure a seamless and scalable user experience. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams, adhering to compliance standards, and maintaining a consistent design framework. This is a remote position; however, to be considered, candidates must reside in or near one of the following locations: New York, Pennsylvania, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Boston, Washington, D.C., Reston, Chicago, San Diego County, or Seattle. Compensation for this role will vary based on geographic location and local market factors. Key Responsibilities: Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to gather insights and validate design decisions Perform task analyses and develop user flows for optimal user experience Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma or similar tools Utilize advanced prototyping techniques to demonstrate AI-based features and workflows Design wireframes and mockups for both web and mobile applications Work closely with product owners, engineers, and AI specialists to iteratively develop high-quality software solutions Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives) to align with project goals Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements, develop design concepts, and present ideas Develop and maintain a design system or style guide that ensures scalable, consistent experiences across multiple products Advocate for a cohesive and contemporary visual identity that aligns with professional standards Ensure designs meet WCAG standards and adhere to legal and compliance requirements Work with compliance teams to confirm that AI-driven interfaces meet necessary guidelines Stay current with AI/ML interface patterns, data visualization techniques, and explainable AI best practices Keep up-to-date with the latest design and technology trends to enhance design quality Collaborate with AI engineers to design user experiences that build trust and understanding in AI-driven insights Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines Present design concepts and findings to stakeholders, gather feedback, and drive consensus Provide training sessions and resources on design systems, tools, and processes Offer training and support to team members on design and technology-related topics as needed Mentor junior designers or interns as required Perform other duties as assigned Overall Skills and Experience: Required: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and other common business applications Ability to work extended hours or weekends when necessary Ability to travel as required 5+ years of direct experience in UX/UI design, preferably in enterprise or complex software environments Expert knowledge of HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Kendo UI Tools, and modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular) Advanced proficiency in Figma (or similar) for designing and prototyping Familiarity with WCAG or other accessibility standards and experience building inclusive experiences Comfort with data-driven design decisions, utilizing analytics or user feedback to refine experiences Preferred: Bachelor's Degree Experience working in regulated industries, enterprise software, or large organizations Exposure to AI/ML projects, with an understanding of user flows involving AI-driven insights Prior experience building or maintaining design systems for enterprise applications Experience with Figma administration Competencies: Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities High attention to detail Analytical problem-solving skills with a proactive approach Adaptability to changing business needs and priorities Professionalism and diplomacy in all interactions District Partners LLC
