Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Transportation Engineer, you will:

  • Perform advanced engineering and planning tasks requiring independent judgment.
  • Manage client relationships and oversee proposals and budgets for multi-faceted projects.
  • Lead, train, and mentor junior staff, fostering their professional growth and technical expertise.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports and ensure quality through QA/QC procedures.
  • Present findings and project details to public agencies, review boards, governing bodies, and community groups.
  • Participate in internal committees to support company goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate on innovative transportation solutions in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Education : B.S. in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications : Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or AICP certification.
  • Experience :
    • Minimum of 10 years in traffic engineering or transportation planning.
    • Proven project management experience with strong leadership capabilities.
    • Experience training and mentoring junior staff.
  • Technical Skills :
    • Proficiency in traffic analysis software (HCS, Synchro, VISSIM preferred).
    • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Communication Skills : Strong oral and written communication abilities, including public speaking and presentations.
  • Other Requirements :
    • Valid driver's license and personal transportation.
    • Authorization to work in the U.S.
