Job Summary -

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Carrier Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in carrier sales within the freight brokerage sector, demonstrate excellent negotiation skills, and have a deep understanding of transportation logistics. This role is crucial in expanding our carrier network, maintaining strong relationships, and ensuring the efficient movement of goods for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Carrier Acquisition & Relationship Management:
  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new carriers to expand the company's transportation network.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing carriers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Sales & Negotiation:
  • Negotiate competitive rates and terms with carriers to ensure profitability while maintaining service quality.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets by effectively matching carrier capacity with customer demand.

Operational Coordination:
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
  • Monitor carrier performance and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Market Analysis & Strategy:
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and carrier availability to inform sales strategies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management for business growth and process improvements.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in carrier sales within the freight brokerage or transportation industry.
  • Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • College degree is preferred.

Skills:
  • Strong understanding of transportation logistics, carrier operations, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve and exceed goals.
