Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Process/Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing processes while managing engineering projects from conception through completion. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency, ensure high-quality standards, and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Improvement:
  • Analyze and optimize manufacturing and operational processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Develop and implement process flow diagrams, process control strategies, and operational procedures.
  • Identify and address process bottlenecks, safety issues, and non-compliance to regulations or standards.
  • Use Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to optimize processes.
  • Project Management:
  • Lead and manage engineering projects, ensuring the successful design, implementation, and commissioning of new processes, equipment, or systems.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including internal teams, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Monitor and report project progress, adjust plans as necessary, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with design, manufacturing, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure processes meet performance specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to production teams during process implementation.
  • Assist with training and mentoring junior engineers or production staff on process optimization and project execution.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Create and maintain detailed project and process documentation, including design specifications, procedures, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and present project updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks associated with processes and projects and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure that process changes comply with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
  • Proven experience (10 years) in process engineering, project management, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
