Key Role:

Prepare and advise on operations requirements for logistics programs based on immediate and long-term operations plans to provide consistent, timely, and adequate support for government program elements. Support projects analyzing existing end-to-end supply chain resilience, including inventory management, maintenance, and distribution in government and industrial base organizations. Provide support to government organizations for inventory management, provisioning, distribution, and packaging principles, concepts, policies, and processes to ensure enterprise-wide efficient, cost-effective end-to-end logistics performance. Provide administrative and technical writing support for the successful maintenance and update of DoD and other government agency supply chain issues and policies. Apply advanced consulting skills, project management skills, or extensive technical expertise, pulling from full logistics industry knowledge. Work without considerable direction, mentoring, and possibly supervising team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in an operations and planning, logistics, or medical logistics response environment
  • Experience with tracking ongoing requirements against supply and distribution, analyzing data, and providing information and recommendations
  • Experience with coordinating delivery and receipt of necessary packaging and shipping documentation, supporting shipping organization, freight forwarder, and recipient organizations
  • Experience with coordinating and working closely with logistical support agencies to identify logistical needs and develop plans when products reach approval and are shipped to points of need
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management, supply chain optimization and effectiveness, and logistics operations required to support a program from start to finish
  • Ability to advise on best practices, identify potential risks, and recommend innovative solutions
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate projects, proposals, plans, supply data, and metrics for technical and programmatic merit, potential risks, mitigation strategies, and potential areas of improvement and to assist leadership with decision-making
  • Ability to advise planning and operations based on an understanding of the commercial transportation industry
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with supporting and leading projects analyzing and making recommendations for improvement on existing end-to-end system-support supply chains at enterprise, wholesale, and retail levels in government organizations
  • Ability to develop executive-level level briefings that integrate all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Project required to provide information, analysis, and recommendations
  • Ability to produce, update, and forward documentation to support the distribution and delivery of medical countermeasures domestically and internationally
  • Ability to identify logistical issues that require accommodation to meet production-to-user logistical requirements
  • Ability to support a 40-hour work week between the duty hours of 0700-1700 EST
  • Ability to flex hours outside core hours to address urgent, time-sensitive tasks within a flexible work schedule to maintain a 40-hour workweek
  • Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Management
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Certification preferred
  • Level III DAU Certification in Life Cycle Logistics Domain preferred

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
