Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking a highly skilled Legal Assistant for our client’s prestigious law firm in the Dadeland area. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in litigation, particularly in fast-paced law firms. Experience in maritime law and insurance defense is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including drafting, reviewing, and filing legal documents
• Manage the calendaring and scheduling for the Managing Partner, ensuring all deadlines and appointments are met
• Coordinate case follow-ups, ensuring all case milestones and client needs are addressed promptly
• Prepare and file documents in federal court, with a strong understanding of federal procedures and deadlines
• Handle noticing and filing for various legal proceedings
• Provide general administrative support, including correspondence, document management, and client communication

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7-10 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a fast-paced law firm environment
•   Strong experience in litigation is required.
• Experience in maritime law and insurance defense is a plus
• Must have experience with federal court filings, noticing, and adhering to federal procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, legal research tools, and case management software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities
