Internal Audit Consultant (Metro Detroit Area)
Location: Remote with occasional in-person meetings
Experience Required: Minimum 5+ years in internal audit

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Internal Audit Consultant to join our team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal auditing and be able to seamlessly integrate into our team and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct internal audits as directed by the lead auditor.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and assess areas of significant business risk.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
• Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of audit tasks.
• Attend onboarding and offboarding sessions at our office.
• Participate in occasional in-person meetings as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal audit.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Information:

• The position is primarily remote, with minimal travel required.
