Dara Agruss Design is a boutique design and decorating firm. Our design process is personalized, interactive and collaborative. We are seeking a talented, versatile Design Assistant to join our team.

We are looking for an eager and organized Design Assistant who can also manage administrative tasks and support our social media efforts. We operate within a hybrid work model, supporting flexibility between office time and work from home. Each day will be different and we are looking for someone who is able to manage their time effectively. This is position has 3 main roles: design assistant, administrative assistant and social media manager.

$25 hourly

Design:

• Assist with design concept development and presentations including preparing mood boards, sketches, or CAD drawings.
• Visit showrooms and suppliers to gather samples.
• Assist with on-site meetings including consultations with clients (taking notes & measurements).
• Assist with installations.

Administrative:

• Create proposals/invoices and track items.
• Communicate with vendors and ensure the accuracy of all items that are delivered on-site.
• Research products including leadtimes, pricing, and availability.

Social Media:

• Create and curate visually appealing content, including images, videos, and graphics, that align with the firm's aesthetic.
• Develop themes or series that showcase the firm’s projects, design tips, or behind-the-scenes insights.
• Use design tools like Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Lightroom to enhance visuals.

• Bachelor’s degree or coursework in Interior Design.
• Self-motivated, extremely organized, and creative.
• Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Canva, Sketchup and Enscape.
• Proficient in Google workspace.
• Familiarity with social media platforms, content creation, and analytics tools.
• Has a car and is willing to drive locally, as well as in the city.
• Lives within 20 min. of Elmhurst, Illinois. Not looking for remote applicants.

Our mission is to enhance spaces with unique design elements, thoughtful space organization, collaboration, and well-made products. As we celebrate our 3 year anniversary, we are growing, evolving and maturing as a firm. As we expand our team, we are looking for dedicated individuals who are driven, self-motivated, insanely organized, detailed, and have a good sense of humor.
