About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Ocean Marine to establish and lead an ocean marine practice within its well-established, specialty, inland marine business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build something special from the ground up, bringing their expertise to an already thriving, award-winning environment. This role is ideal for a proven Marine Vice President or Head of Marine with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, or for an individual currently in a senior marine division role, looking to take the next step and make a significant impact. The Head of Ocean Marine will be responsible for team and portfolio growth, with a focus on long-term success and substantial earning potential. Candidates for the Head of Ocean Marine position should have a background in either Hull & Machinery, P&I, or Marine Cargo, and possess experience as a Marine Underwriter with a robust network. The role requires the ability to open doors with brokers, attract capacity from insurers and reinsurers, and recruit a strong team of Underwriters. The ideal candidate will be naturally driven, and entrepreneurial, and have a proven track record in the marine insurance industry. The position offers a lucrative compensation package, including a profit share, and is suited to individuals who are excited about the challenge of building and growing a successful ocean marine practice.
