About the Role
The Company is seeking a Governor with a strong background in educational technology to join its Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the School's vision, ethos, and strategic direction are in line with the best educational practices, particularly in the integration of technology and digital learning. This role is pivotal in holding executive leaders accountable and overseeing the effective educational and financial performance of the institution. The ideal candidate will be deeply immersed in the Edtech sector, whether as a founder, investor, academic, or practitioner, and will be instrumental in helping the School capitalize on existing Edtech innovations and seek out new initiatives to enhance e-learning. Governance at the company is characterized by a passionate, rigorous, and professional approach, and the Board is committed to the School's charitable objectives. The role of the Governor is a voluntary one, and the candidate should be prepared to contribute their expertise and experience to the functions of the School. While the Board has recently undergone substantial refreshment, the focus remains on maintaining a high-performing educational environment. The candidate will be expected to play a crucial role in horizon scanning for trends and developments in the Edtech sector, ensuring that the School remains at the forefront of educational technology and is able to provide the best possible learning experience for its pupils.
