Position Overview:

The General Sales Manager is responsible for ensuring the dealership meets its new and used car and truck sales quotas, as well as its gross objectives on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis. This role will accomplish these objectives through strategic planning, organizing, coordinating, and measuring the activities of the New and Used Vehicle Departments, the Financial Department, and Commercial Sales.

Salary Range: $140,000 - $200,000 plus company car

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the showroom floor, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
• Support the sales team at all stages of the sales process, from customer engagement to closing the sale
• Manage and monitor sales performance to meet daily, monthly, and yearly sales goals
• Work closely with the Financial and Commercial Sales departments to ensure seamless processes
• Lead and guide the sales team, providing coaching and motivation to achieve sales targets
• Foster a customer-centric culture to ensure high levels of satisfaction
• Recruit, train, and motivate a top-performing sales team
• Ensure effective new car ordering processes and manage inventory
• Maintain and build relationships with key clients and business partners

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a top-level performer in a General Sales Manager or similar role in the automotive industry
• Strong understanding of all aspects of a sales department, including F&I and Used Car experience
• New car ordering experience preferred
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to recruit, train, and motivate a sales team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring customer satisfaction
• A passion for cars and customer service
