Job Description
Description - Provides information to employees on human resources policies and procedures, benefits, and HR related information. Assists with the administration of the benefit programs, including group health/dental and life insurance plan, Flex Spending, LTD, STD, FMLA, Tuition Reimbursement, etc... Assist with updates in HRIS system.
- Updates and provides information to employees regarding Employee Perks.
- Maintains payroll deductions entered in HRIS including employee insurance cost, flex spending and life insurance.
- Completes Verification of Employment requests when received.
- Completes and compiles data as requested by CHRO.
- Assists CHRO in consulting with department managers and supervisors on human resources management and problems, and offers recommendations.
- Assists CHRO with the administration of the Labor Agreement including all reporting requirements. Maintains positive interaction between the union and hospital administration.
- Composes and types correspondence, maintains manuals, and other documentation for Human Resources Department. Organizes and implements projects that involve duplicating, collating, filing and distribution and/or mailing.
- Assists with the maintenance of Symplr Performance and Learning.
- Assists with employee records regarding Workers Compensation, unemployment, STD/LTD and FMLA. Communicates employee status to CHRO.
- Responsible for invoicing and budget verification on variance reports. Provide information to CHRO for approval.
- Ensure compliance with DNV standards specific to the human resources function.
- In conjunction with IT/IS assist with the Galaxy Badge system and troubleshoot when problems. Organize employee data in system to create a user friendly environment. Print badges as needed.
- Responsible for ordering supplies for department including Tool Box Certificates, Thank You Cards, Fingerprinting Codes, etc...
- In conjunction with the Lab Manager ensure HR CAP requirements are completed, including licenses, accu-check reporting, color blind screening, etc....
- Assist with reaching department and hospital goals and tracking relevant information to monitor progress.
- Assist with onboarding of agency staff to include immunization records, background checks, license verifications, education, etc...
- Participate in 212 initiatives and join committees related to the retention of staff. (Employee Service Committee, Best Place to Work Committee)
- Provide an inviting environment for all HR customers. Assist with walk-in questions and needs. Answer phone messages and incoming calls to the department and route calls as necessary. Maintain the HR Fax emails and provide appropriate follow up.
- Send verification of employment requests for applicants in the interviewing stage of pre-hire status. Track results and report information if discrepancies.
Requirements Customer service focused, detailed oriented, communication and decision making skills are most important. Knowledge at a level normally acquired through the attainment of an Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or two years of progressively more responsible work experience human resource operations is preferred.
