We have different avenues to be a Farmers Agent:
Retail
Agency: Sign on bonus with financial marketing support; no limit on earning capacity; lead your team; be your own boss; build your agency in your local community.
Protege
Agency Producer Program: Grow your skills and business knowledge with a Farmer's mentor agent.
As an agent with Farmers Insurance, you will be able to offer Auto, Home, Business, Life, and Financial Services products to a wide range of clients. Qualified individuals receive award-winning training for themselves and their staff, vast support systems, and partnership with our district office. The Greater Chicago District Office is a team of insurance professionals that are here to help you succeed. When you partner with our office and staff, you receive support from business consultants, talent recruiters, trainers, and product specialists to help you develop and grow your business. In addition, you will be working alongside some of the best Farmers Agents in the country. Study materials and leads will be provided. No prior experience in insurance is required. As a Farmers agent, you can truly make a difference by helping people

ResponsibilitiesMeet new business production goals and objectives as established.
Serve as an attentive listener when communicating with new and potential clients to accurately identify their unique needs before pursuing specific insurance sales.
Originate insurance quotes, make sales presentations, and close sales.
Develop ongoing networking relationships with Real Estate Agents, Mortgage Lenders, Title Companies, Auto Dealers, etc.
RequirementsPossess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive, resourceful, and coachable
Must be a superb communicator, able to analyze complex ideas, and possess a business development and customer service background
Be able to obtain or currently hold a Property & Casualty / Life & Health insurance license(s)
High school or Associates/Bachelors degree
