We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as an Instructional Task Lead for a micro-credential program focused on extractive engineering disciplines, including environmental, metallurgical, mining, and geological engineering. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of cutting-edge coursework in a rapidly growing field. The position is grant-funded for a duration of three years and plays a crucial role in a new micro-credential certificate program.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver advanced undergraduate and graduate-level online courses for a grant-funded certificate program in extractive engineering disciplines (e.g., environmental, metallurgical, mining, geological engineering).
Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and project team members to create and convert technical content for the certificate program.
Work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality content delivery that meets both federal and university standards.
Integrate national best practices for online, asynchronous course delivery, ensuring meaningful engagement and interaction.
Conduct initial quality reviews of course materials to ensure they align with university quality standards and federal requirements for online education.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in a STEM discipline relevant to the subject matter (e.g., mining, geological, metallurgical, materials, environmental engineering, or a related field).
Experience as a graduate teaching assistant.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with experience in a technical field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. in a STEM discipline.
Experience as a lecturer or instructor in higher education or professional development settings.
Experience teaching STEM courses in a university or industrial training environment.
Experience delivering online STEM courses.
Familiarity with national best practices for online, asynchronous education.
Experience teaching adult, professional, or non-traditional learners.
