Job Description

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a dynamic and strategic AVP of Therapy Services to lead and expand our therapy business across multiple states. As a licensed Physical Therapist, Speech Therapist, or Occupational Therapist, this leadership role reports directly to the Regional President. You will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, building volume, and maintaining productivity standards in physical, occupational, and speech therapy services. Your role will align therapy services with federal and state regulations, company policies, and reimbursement guidelines, while creating a clinical culture centered on patient care, clinical outcomes, and continuous staff development.

Key Responsibilities :

Leadership and Strategic Planning

  • Lead the development and execution of therapy strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Guide Therapy Teams in formulating objectives to improve patient care, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze market trends and adjust operational and financial plans to anticipate therapy needs and allocate resources effectively.

Operations and Quality Assurance

  • Oversee high-quality therapy services across regions, ensuring compliance with accrediting body standards.
  • Work with Therapy Directors to implement systems that enhance productivity, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes.
  • Lead initiatives to resolve operational challenges and implement process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Aveanna’s PDN (Private Duty Nursing) and PDHC (Private Duty Health Center) service lines to ensure compliance with Aveanna’s policies and regulatory standards.
  • Forecast financial needs, manage budgets, and implement cost-containment strategies to meet targets.

People Services and Employee Development

  • Partner with Therapy leaders to develop recruitment, onboarding, and development programs for therapy staff.
  • Oversee performance management, including reviews, coaching, and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Foster a culture aligned with Aveanna Healthcare’s values, policies, and procedures.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight

  • Ensure therapy services comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies and stay current with industry standards and compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and update policies as needed.

Community and Referral Relationships

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, hospitals, clinics, and case management agencies.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a therapy discipline (Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy) from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure in the state of practice.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a licensed therapist, with at least 3 years in a management role overseeing multiple therapy services in multiple states.
  • Pediatric experience required; home health and outpatient clinic experience preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare-related software.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills :

  • Advanced knowledge of home health services, including pediatric patient care.
  • Experience managing multi-location teams in a home health or healthcare setting.
