H2scan was founded in 2002, and is headquartered in Valencia, California. H2scan helps our customers meet safety, regulatory and process control requirements in mission critical industries such as energy, utility, petrochemical, fuels cell and gas lines. We do that by providing the most accurate, tolerant and affordable continuous hydrogen sensors for monitoring industrial processes that generate or use H 2 , including transformer condition monitoring. H2scan holds 33+ patents, and our products are sold in over 50 countries.
Job Description
The Electrical Engineer Intern will perform routine, entry-level engineering tasks under the direct supervision of a senior engineer with the goal of developing more advanced applied Electrical Engineering skills.
Essential Responsibilities
· Provides general, entry-level support to the engineering department.
· Design and Layout of Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBAs) in Altium Designer.
· Perform simulations using LTSpice or TINA (Training will be provided).
· Test and Verification of H2scan’s Electronics under supervision of EE department.
· Assists staff and senior engineers in the development of new products.
· Perform Schematic level design changes and submit Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) under supervision.
Preferred Skills/Abilities:· Familiarity with Oscilloscopes, Impedance Analyzers, Hi-potential testers is a plus.
· Preferred but not required, experience working with DC-to-DC converters, noise, measurements, FFT and related
· Motivated to learn PCBA design and Altium Designer Platform, and LTSpice/ TINA.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present their work in meetings and technical discussions.
Education and Experience:· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Hardware.
