Job Title: Associate Attorney or Senior Associate Attorney

Client: Whitson Law Firm

Location: Remote with mandatory court appearances 3-4 times per month. Albany, NY area.

About Our Client: Our client, a distinguished law firm with offices in Elizabethtown and Saratoga, is seeking a dedicated Associate or Senior Associate Attorney. The firm, renowned for its rapid growth and commitment to excellence, generated $1.4 million in revenue last year and has significant expansion plans. The role offers a unique opportunity to join a progressive firm with a clear succession plan.

Job Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, participating in litigation, and representing clients in court. The position requires a proactive attorney who is

comfortable with both litigation and transactional work, though family law experience is not mandatory.

Core Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in court for various legal proceedings.
• Manage and oversee case files from inception through resolution.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and other legal staff.
• Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
• Maintain a minimum of 120 billable hours per month (1500 per year).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• Strong litigation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Prominent level of professionalism and ethical standards.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in family law is advantageous but not required.
• Mediation and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $180,000 based on experience and qualifications.
• 100% covered health insurance.
• 401K plan with up to 3% matching after one year.
• Origination credit: 10% on what the candidate brings in and collects.
• Bonus structure: 10% production bonus for achieving 137 billable hours per month.
