Assistant Community Manager

Location: Middle River

Are you an assertive, results-driven property management professional with a thick skin when it comes to rent collections and delinquencies? We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Community Manager to help oversee the daily operations of a large, 347-unit residential community.

This opportunity is with a well-established property management company that prioritizes strong leadership, decisive policy enforcement, and proactive financial oversight. The ideal candidate will be persistent and strategic in addressing delinquencies, firm in lease enforcement, and adept at resolving conflicts with professionalism and confidence.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist the Community Manager in maximizing revenue by aggressively managing delinquencies, enforcing lease terms, and executing timely rent collection efforts.
  • Issue late notices, coordinate with legal teams for court filings, attend eviction proceedings, and maintain detailed records of all collections efforts.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while standing firm on policies and lease agreements.
  • Process resident work orders, vendor invoices, and lease-related inquiries efficiently.
  • Maintain open communication with the Property Manager and Service Team to ensure resident needs are met while keeping the property running smoothly.
  • Handle difficult conversations with residents professionally while enforcing community policies.
  • Plan and host resident engagement events to foster a positive community environment.

What You Bring:

  • Proven experience in rent collection, delinquency management, and lease enforcement.
  • 3+ years in property management or a related administrative role.
  • Thick skin and the ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Fair Housing Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.
  • Customer service experience with a firm but fair approach to conflict resolution.
  • Ability to work some weekends and holidays as needed.
