Responsibilities include assembling components and hardware in a prescribed manner using power or hand tools, testing devices, gauges, and other equipment. Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies using welding equipment. Understands proper quality weld standards (including slag removal.) Read and follow specified layouts, procedures, and operating charts. Read and interpret blueprints and or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements. Perform inspection duties for KEITH Quality Control standards by inspecting grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using precision measuring instruments. Meets agreed upon manufacturing goals in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 18 years of age. Able to communicate in English with team members (Speak and reading, writing ability required.) May be required to pass employer performance tests including pre-employment drug screening. Some welding and assembly experience preferred. Have a solid understanding of welding equipment and accessories. Able to read tape measure and use precision measurement tools. Able to read and follow blueprints. Must be comfortable and willing to have varied work that may change each day, potentially several times throughout the day. Ability and willingness to follow directions as well as the ability to work independently requiring little or no supervision. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.
Physical requirements include the ability to sit or stand for 8 to 10 hours at a time. Lift 25 lbs. repetitively. Production facility exposed to continual machine noise. Exposure to intense light and hot material.
