South-Tek Systems is searching for an experienced Air Compressor Technician to join our team in Wilmington, NC ! We are a leading designer and manufacturer of Nitrogen Generators. Our team is composed of highly engineered individuals who provide innovative and cost-effective generator systems. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing air compressors to ensure their optimal performance. This role requires a keen understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.

Job Responsibilities:

• Inspect new compressor for shipping damage and ensure the compressors functionally meet factory specifications.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of air compressors to ensure proper functioning.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoot issues with air compressor systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
• Repair and replace faulty parts to restore air compressor functionality.
• Perform tests to verify that repairs have been completed successfully.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, diagnoses, and repairs.
• Work with other technicians and engineers to address complex problems.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing all tasks.
• Provide recommendations for preventive maintenance to minimize future issues.
• Fill the compressors with oil and change filters.
• In-house positions minimal travel expected.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in air compressor repair preferred.
• 3-5 years of proven experience as an air compressor technician or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with industry standards.
